We were engaged December 24, 2007, on a family holiday trip to Maui.
I noticed that Steve was very nervous after talking with my dad earlier that day but thought nothing of it. A few hours before sun set Steve and I drove up to the summit of Mt. Haleakala and walked around, enjoying the beautiful and amazing sights. Just as twilight was painting the sky Steve reaches into his camera bag, pulls out the most beautiful ring, and asks if I would like to spend the rest of my life with him :) :)
Our First "Official" Date
We were up all night talking on Hampton Beach and watched the sun come up over the ocean.
... Five years later Steve told me that he always believed, when he was younger, that the woman that he watched his first sun rise on Hampton Beach with would be the woman he would marry.
Weird But True Facts:
1) Steve lived on Caulfield Circle when he was younger
2) Steve & Chris both have the same freckle in the same spot on the palm of their hand
3) Chris's sister had a dream that Steve would ask her to marry on the top of Mt Haleakala, a few months
before he even asked
